Meeting of Ambassador Alessandro Ferranti with the Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan

On Wednesday, March 12, Ambassador Alessandro Ferranti was received by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan.
In welcoming the Ambassador, the Minister expressed great appreciation for Italy’s collaboration and support, mentioning the medical assistance provided to citizens who had suffered burns following the Stepanakert explosion in September 2023.
The Minister also presented to the Ambassador the priorities in terms of reforms, with particular regard to the introduction of the universal coverage system, expressing great interest in the Italian model, and the digitalization of the sector.
Finally, during the meeting, reference was made to the dynamic development of bilateral relations, marked by deep friendship, and to the deepening of collaboration in the field of medical-health care, as well as the sharing of experiences and knowledge between medical centers of the two countries.
In turn, Ambassador Ferranti underlined the considerable potential for cooperation between Italy and Armenia in the field of science and health, proposing to examine the areas of possible collaboration, through joint activities and exchange programs also at the academic level.
