This Embassy does not issue birth, marriage, death, or divorce certificates, which are exclusively under the jurisdiction of the respective municipality in Italy. The interested party must contact the municipality directly.
Citizens registered in Italian registries (both APR and AIRE) can request various types of registry certificates online from their registration municipality. These certificates are issued free of charge and are only accessible to those with a digital identity (CIE, Spid, or CNS), as this is now the sole method for accessing public administration’s online services in Italy.
