Il Primo Ministro della Repubblica di Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, ha ricevuto per una visita di commiato l’Ambasciatore d’Italia in Armenia, Vincenzo Del Monaco.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia Vincenzo del Monaco, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

Highly appreciative of Vincenzo del Monaco’s tenure-long efforts, the Prime Minister noted that the bilateral relations had been developing effectively during the outgoing Ambassador’s term in office. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan highlighted his official visit to Italy in 2019 and thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution to advancing the Armenian-Italian bilateral agenda.

In turn, the Italian Ambassador thanked the Armenian Prime Minister for his kind remarks, noting that he had made every effort to upgrade the ongoing Armenian-Italian cooperation. The interlocutors pointed out that Armenia and Italy boast great potential for cooperation, and both sides are taking consistent steps towards its full realization.

The parties exchanged views on the war unleashed by Azerbaijan and Turkey against Artsakh. Vincenzo del Monaco offered condolences over the killings of servicemen and civilians throughout the hostilities. He stressed that he was leaving Armenia with a feeling of sorrow at this difficult time and reaffirmed his sympathy and friendship for the people of Armenia.

Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the Armenian people are united and determined to overcome this challenging situation and achieve a political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with the support of progressive international partners. Nikol Pashinyan wished Vincenzo del Monaco every success in his future activities.
